Terms of Service

Effective date: October 25, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Dreamrift (the "Service"). "Dreamrift", "we" and "us" mean Dreamrift, a sole proprietorship based in Ontario, Canada, which runs the Service. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) and able to form a binding contract. By using the Service you confirm that you meet these requirements.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for your account credentials and all activity under your account. Keep your password secure and notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy.

3. The Service

Dreamrift lets you upload reference images and generate AI video clips with synchronized audio. Generation is powered by third-party AI providers. Output quality, timing, and availability are not guaranteed, and AI systems can produce unexpected or inaccurate results. Each AI provider has its own usage rules, and you agree to follow them as well as ours.

AI apps you connect (such as Claude, ChatGPT or Grok) act for you. What they make is charged to your credits like anything you make in the Studio, under the same refund rules. You can set a daily limit for them and disconnect them at any time on the Connections page.

4. Credits & payment

The Service runs on a prepaid credit system and paid subscription plans. Credits are consumed when you generate content. Payments are processed by our reseller and Merchant of Record, Dodo Payments, which handles billing and applicable sales tax/VAT. Pricing and credit costs are shown in-app and may change prospectively. Credits have no cash value, are non-transferable, and except as stated in our Refund Policy are non-refundable.

5. Your content & ownership

You retain ownership of the reference images you upload and, to the extent permitted by law and the underlying AI providers' terms, the clips you generate. You represent that you have the rights to everything you upload and that your use does not infringe anyone's rights or violate our Acceptable Use Policy.

You grant us a limited license to store, process, and transmit your content solely to operate and provide the Service (including sending it to AI providers to fulfill your generations).

Generated content is made by AI. It can be inaccurate, and it can be similar to content made for other people. We do not review what you upload or generate. You are responsible for checking your clips before you use them and for how you use, publish or advertise with them, including any AI labels or disclosures that the law or the platform you post on requires.

Before your first upload you confirm that you own what you upload or have permission to use it, and that everyone who can be recognised in it has agreed. We keep a record of when you did. That confirmation is part of these Terms.

Every video and picture the Service makes carries a label inside the file saying it was made with AI. You agree not to remove or change it, and not to present generated content as real footage, or as made without AI, where that could mislead anyone.

6. Acceptable use

Your use of the Service is subject to our Acceptable Use Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms.

7. Reports, removal and copyright

Anyone can report content on the Service through Report content. We act on a complete report within 48 hours and may remove content, or suspend accounts, that break these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, without notice when the law or the harm requires it.

Copyright complaints and counter-notices follow our Copyright Policy. We close the accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.

8. Intellectual property

The Service itself — including its software, design, and branding — belongs to us. These Terms do not grant you any right to our trademarks or to copy or reverse engineer the Service.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. We are not responsible for the content you generate or for how you or anyone else uses it.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim or USD 100.

11. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) that arise from what you upload, what you generate and how you use it, or your breach of these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g., ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity) will survive.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above, and continued use after changes means you accept them.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be subject to the courts located there, unless mandatory local law gives you other rights.
